Our East Coast fleet of five carriage trains built by Hitachi Rail Ltd. and procured through Beacon, is an entirely new Cl 803 electric-only train based on the Hitachi AT300 platform.
Our trains arrived from Japan as empty bodyshells and were assembled at Hitachi’s Newton Aycliffe factory.
Every train was put through rigorous factory testing, safety and quality inspection programmes before being allowed on to the tracks for further testing and commissioning.

Our Lumo Stirling to London Euston fleet of five modern refurbished six-car Class 222 trains, using intelligent engine management systems that reduce fuel use where possible.
The refurbishment work was undertaken by Alstom’s modernisation facility in Widnes, in association with Beacon Rail.
The trains feature a striking new livery in Lumo’s signature blue.
